wonder if it has something to do with the transitions between shows.. weird; will definitely bring it up!

Cicadas -- this morning at sunrise they were so so loud. It was rather warm, like 70F, so that probably inspired them. Usually they don't make much noise until 8 or even 9 am, which is when the temperatures around here "should" hit 70.

Between the falling temps and the rain showers, they really didn't call much after 6:15 am

That's a good theory about the transitions. I'll try to catch more shows at the very beginning.

And you know, it might not have been the beginning of your recent show, I think it was Dana K's show, and her internet cut out altogether a few shows ago

so she was really concerned with the 1-2 second cutouts

oh i do remember hearing about Dana K's show! i think that was a couple weeks back right? its why i miss the studio more than ever!!

but thats lovely to hear about the cicadas.. whenever i hear them im reminded of old late springtime memories

Hi rosasolis! These particular cicadas are of the 17 year variety I've been told, haven't heard a single one yet.

@ Rob, I'm in north central PA, it's usually first week of July before they appear when it's HAWT and HUMID, that's how they like it apparently.

Their is a classical musician who is inspired by cicadas of all kinds and has actually recorded himself playing (clarinet I believe) with the bugs!

Sure thing bo & rosasolis. The ~1 min. video accompanying that story was amusing. But all the cicadas in the video made my browser crash

I forgot that Anne Magnuson was in Pulsallama. No wonder the storytelling sounded familiar (I love Bongwater)

didn’t recognize that was anne either & i also heard her wit after u mentioned it / i saw her perform once and she was fantastic:)

ill make sure to mention that on the air because i also didnt realize it until someone told me! loll but her storytelling is very similar to her approach in bongwater :)

i think Kramer was her co lead in the band when i saw them - I wasn’t familiar w him then as her she certainly was the diva star the nite i saw them what a talent

yeah she was such a star! can't imagine how fun that show must have been... those early bongwater songs are just such a joy ride (to use a pun hehe)

thanks bo must’ve been an interesting grave site to visit / i actually just visited a tragic music related grave site in the philly area recently- it was actually quite sad

wow was she really? i had no idea... its always rough to go through graves, ever since i was young theyve just been so unsettling to even walk by :(

Lovecraft is buried in Swan Point Cemetery in or near Providence RI, the place is nothing short of spectacular and vast, sculptures that will hold you captive for a very long time, just amazing.

i actually looked up where the love craft grave is figured it was around providence

I’m afraid to read the Matt ruff love craft country as it’ll prob suck me down a long rabbit hole - I haven’t seen the hbo series

cemeteries can b fascinating/ yet to visit laurel hill around here it’s supposed to b the most interesting

whenever i go up and travel new england ill make sure to stop by and see it! ive been seeing a lot of albums recently in my feed weirdly enough with a lot of allusions/allegiances to lovecraft so maybe its about time

hmm will make sure to do that! actually when i was in paris for an extended time, the cemeteries evoked a whole different vibe for some reason

@Mark rosasolis, at the time of my visit you had to be in and out of there by an hour before sunset cause then security descends on it and locks the gates.and they spend the night because, y'know, the goth kids tend to get mm a wee bit frisky on ol' HP's bones.
