time / space is a radio show that invites listeners to explore the capabilities of music and memory. Though the format remains the same each week, the episode themes will vary in mood, and focus on a specific memory or situation, for example: sitting and thinking in your bedroom alone at 3am, looking through old pictures in your attic, or driving down the highway on your way to the beach with your best friends. Our episodes will be more than just “happy” or “sad” or “angry” playlists - we want to explore universal experiences and the power that we have as listeners to form a connection between music and retrospection. Each episode will begin with an explanation of that week’s theme, and talk breaks throughout the show will feature prepared personal narratives explaining the specific memories associated with the songs we chose. Occasionally, we will include guests to contribute their own memories and the songs linked to them. Ultimately, our goal is to allow the music to capture a specific moment in time (and space) - and we hope that listeners reflect on their own attachments to the songs chosen as well.
